Start-up of the lift truck business
Korea’s initial home-based lift truck marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. started to import assembled lift trucks as part of a national machinery expansion project. Initial sales of this manufacturing equipment focused on large business communities, the armed services and on state-run firms. This ultimately led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced business operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a lift truck manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical instruction became the new focus for improving quality and product development.
The general effectiveness of the propane lift truck is impressive. Since the propane cylinders can be changed in hardly any time, the equipment can be back on the job relatively fast in view of the fact that it experiences barely any downtime. It is unlike the electric forklift where spare batteries need to be purchased to be used while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
Since the fuel system of the propane lift truck is sealed; it is far safer to operate compared to different models of forklift. The fuel cylinders are sealed to ensure optimum safety and should adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas even operates with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, hence, if any mishap happens, there is a system where the fuel is shut off. This greatly minimizes the potential risk and destruction that can occur. Refilling options are likewise beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel somewhere else, the cylinders could be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling can be completed on site instead.
